The Meeting Point of Sun and Moon—Riyue Mountain

Standing atop Riyue Mountain, I was struck by the contrasting views on either side: the vast expanse of the Loess Plateau on one side and the azure beauty of Qinghai Lake on the other. This striking boundary of landscapes is truly soul-stirring. Riyue Mountain is famous for its connection to Princess Wencheng's journey to Tibet. Legend has it that she left behind a Sun and Moon Mirror here, symbolizing her longing for her homeland. Listening to the wind, I felt as if I could sense the ancient and tender emotions of this story. The mountain breeze brushed against my face, and the sight of grasslands merging with snow-capped peaks at the horizon was a breathtaking blend of desolation and grandeur. Standing at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, I felt as though my spirit was cleansed. I tied a colorful prayer flag at the mountain pass, hoping the wind would carry my blessings far and wide. Riyue Mountain is where time and legend converge, a place of indescribable poetic beauty in the hearts of travelers.
