Hong Kong Palace Museum

The Hong Kong Palace Museum is located at the West Kowloon Cultural District. It was opened to the public in July 2022. Longing to visit the Hong Kong Palace Museum and this is my first visit to it! It has a total of 8 exhibition theatres across 3 floors. No. 8 theatre requires additional entrance fee for special exhibition. We spent nearly the whole afternoon exploring seven theatres which showcase fine collections from the Palace Museum in Beijing and other world-renowned institutions. According to the information at the Museum, over 900 priceless treasures are from the Palace Museum in Beijing and many of them are on display in Hong Kong for the first time. The Musuem is so caring that they have benches and foldable chairs at every corners for visitors. In addition, there are open space and sitting area in each floor. Second Floor and the Fourth Floor can access the roof area which is good for taking photos of the West Kowloon Cultural District and the Victoria Harbour. Hong Kong Palace Museum is a collaborative project between the West Kowloon Cultural District Authoirty and the Palace Museum. It offers a cultural resources that belongs to the community of Hong Kong, connect the city with arts and culture, and promote creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration. I am so satisfied with this visit and hope to visit again in future for other exhibitions and to get to know and learn more about arts, culture, history and other knowledge.
