The day we went was a holiday, so there were many people there! But after waiting in line for a while, you can buy a ticket and ride. If there are not many people, you will need to take a truckload of people! But I don't mind seeing the beautiful view. 🚡The cable car is divided into standard cabins and crystal cabins. The floor of the crystal cabin is designed with tempered glass, so you can see the scenery below, but I decided to choose the standard cabin this time! Before driving, a staff member will take a photo for the passengers, and you can buy a commemorative photo after getting off the bus. You can see the scenery of Tung Chung and the airport when you pass by the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car. Below is the Ngong Ping Plank Road. You can see that the plank road is built with wooden planks piece by piece. If you want to walk, it will probably take several hours! The midway station of the cable car is Maitreya Mountain, which is 570 meters above sea level. Compared with the low altitude of Hong Kong, it is slightly higher than the usual land. Of course, for areas with high altitudes, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Afterwards, you can see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge from afar. The visibility was poor that day, so it was difficult to take pictures. The last thing you see is the magnificent Buddha, which complements the passing cable car! After getting off the bus, you will pass the photo gallery and souvenir shop and you will be on your way to see the Big Buddha! It happened to be the Mid-Autumn Festival when I went there. There is currently the Ngong Ping Autumn Lantern Festival 🎋, with many Mid-Autumn Festival decorations and check-in spots for taking photos. There is also a lantern guessing activity. The cows are very diligent in greeting guests, very docile and cute, eating grass quietly, and are not afraid of people. Treat the cows gently, they will not have too big a reaction. Finally, be careful of the landmines dropped by the cows💩, everyone should be careful when walking and look at the ground😂 After interacting with the ox, you will pass by Ngong Ping Plaza. You will see the Twelve Generals on Bodhi Road. You can find the general of your zodiac sign and check in! After that is the famous Tian Tan Buddha. Unfortunately, the long staircase is still under repair. If you want to see it up close, you have to wait until it is repaired. You can bring incense and candles with you or buy them on site. Inside the temple, you will see the solemn and magnificent Main Hall and Ten Thousand Buddha Hall, antique buildings, and stone carved pillars. Everyone will pay their respects in peace. 🙏 After the greeting, you will pass by the vegetarian hall, where you can enjoy vegetarian snacks and eat vegetarian food. The vegetarian hall is divided into Zhenweizhai and VIPzhai, with fees ranging from $110 to $150. The opening hours are from 11:00 to 16:30. Friends who need to eat vegetarian food should come early! This time I ordered some cakes and snacks, the mango sago was delicious! The cakes and vegetarian dishes are also delicious! Don't miss it if you are a foodie😋 After eating, we went to the Heart Sutra Forest behind Phoenix Mountain. It’s about a 15 to 20 minute walk from Po Lin Monastery. Walking quietly along the way, you can hear the ASMR played in the forest 👂🏻, the sound of insects is very healing 🦗, and the air is very fresh. The first place we walked to was the foot of Phoenix Mountain, and next to it was the Heart Sutra Forest. There were 38 wooden pillars in total, all of which were engraved with the Heart Sutra scriptures, and the order was arranged according to the infinity symbol 8. It’s a very magnificent building, and you can also see the entire Phoenix Mountain⛰️, with a very broad and comfortable view! This one is also worth a visit! When the sun was about to set, the day's trip was over. Since we only bought a one-way cable car ticket, we finally left by bus. There was a bus about every half an hour. The last bus, No. 23 bus to Tung Chung, was at 19:10. If you missed it, you would have to take a taxi down the mountain. The fun you had also depended on the time! It took about half an hour to drive to Tung Chung City. I spent the whole day there.
