Arriving at the Cape Tsui Coastal Reserve, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Hong Kong actually has such a beautiful coastline!" This azure sky and sea, free from commercial activity, devoid of skyscrapers, and unpolluted (though there's always some littering on the roadside 😤). It felt like a trip to Hong Kong's own version of Okinawa, or perhaps even a trip outside the bustling city. The tranquility, comfort, and refreshing feeling were truly refreshing. 🩵 The weather was so hot that I could see the seawater 🌊 turned to salt. 📖 A little background: The Cape Tsui Coastal Reserve was designated in July 1996. Its purpose is to conserve marine resources, facilitate scientific research, and educate the public about protecting these precious marine resources. To protect the important species and their habitats within the reserve, general aquatic and coastal recreational activities, such as swimming, boating, fishing, and collecting wildlife or their parts, are prohibited within the reserve, with the exception of permitted scientific research activities. The public is also discouraged from visiting the Cape Tsui Coastal Reserve. Therefore, no public sanitation facilities, such as waste bins and toilets, are provided within the Cape Tsui Coastal Reserve. Topographically, the coastal reserve features rocky shores battered by wind and waves, a common feature on capes and headlands in the southeastern part of Hong Kong. The steep granite shore is rugged and irregular, with irregular steps, vertical surfaces up to one meter high, and narrow rock shelves. When the waves surge in, they form temporary pools.
