#WiseOldManStone #TaiCheTung Actually, I rarely go out of town during my days off, but this time I watched a hiking video with friends and saw a pretty interesting photo spot stone, so we agreed to go check it out together📷 This place is the Wise Old Man Stone located in Tai Che Tung, Lantau Island~ Its appearance somewhat resembles the moai statues of Easter Island 🗿 very amusing🤣 That day we started from Sunny Bay Station. Behind the public restroom, there is a beautiful trail. At the end, you will see a pedestrian tunnel. After passing through the tunnel, you will find a staircase. Go up to the top, then turn right, enter Cheung Tung Road, continue turning right towards Tung Chung. Along the way, you will also pass through a vehicular tunnel, so be careful of vehicles while walking. This section is about 1.1 km. Then watch for the left turn to Sunny Bay Fresh Water Reservoir. After about 1 km on a concrete road, you will reach Sunny Bay Fresh Water Reservoir. Walk a little further and turn left to reach the mountain entrance😎 After climbing a set of steps and passing a water channel, you will enter the mountain trail. There are many ribbons along the way as markers, so the route is clear. Then you will enter a jungle section, where you need to be careful of forks in the path~ When you start to climb upwards, it means you are not far from the Wise Old Man Stone😺 After taking photos with the Wise Old Man Stone, head towards Tai Che Tung. Along the way, you can enjoy a distant view of the Sunny Bay area, and you will also pass the North Lantau Microwave Link Station. Then descend towards Discovery Bay, and finally you can choose to take a bus or ferry back to the city😉 This route is neither too difficult nor too easy. There are jungle areas, places with loose sand and gravel, and comfortable concrete road sections. Some parts are quite exposed to the sun, so you must be well prepared with sun protection and drinks, which are absolutely essential.
