New Bar and Restaurant Under Canal Road Flyover

After work, I met up with some friends for happy hour in Causeway Bay. We decided to try out this new bar under the Canal Road Flyover, which is very convenient for parking. This bar seems to have opened recently, and the tables are quite unique and thoughtfully designed. It has a bit of a hipster vibe mixed with modern touches. There are happy hour drink specials. But you can't drink on an empty stomach, so we decided to have dinner as well. Based on the waiter's recommendation, we ordered three appetizers and one main course. We had two glasses of Sangria: Cava and Rose. The Cava was a bit more acidic, while the Rose was sweeter and fruitier. Both were delicious! Spicy Roasted Cauliflower Bites The cauliflower was served in a small mountain and was very flavorful. This was my first time having cauliflower as a bar snack, and it was surprisingly good! Foie Gras Bikini Sandwich The sandwich was thin and triangular, very crispy, and the aroma of the foie gras was amazing! Mapo Tofu Nachos This appetizer was a pleasant surprise. The combination of Mexican nachos with Chinese Mapo tofu was a perfect match. My friends couldn't stop praising it. It's definitely a signature dish! Delicious and worth the price. Neapolitan Spaghetti Bolognese I'm not usually a fan of tomatoes, but my friend wanted to try it. The spaghetti was thin, and the Bolognese sauce was sweet and tangy, very appetizing. Even I, who don't usually like tomatoes, finished the plate. It was really good! Dubai Pistachio Crispy French Toast This was my choice because it was the only dessert on the menu. The toast, soaked in egg batter, was soft and had a nice egg flavor. The crispy pistachio strands from Dubai added the perfect finishing touch, giving it a crunchy texture. The toast paired with ice cream was delightful. Although the menu at this new bar isn't extensive, everything we ordered was a pleasant surprise, and the atmosphere was very comfortable.
