Hiking the MacLehose Trail for the first time wasn't easy｜I didn't bring enough trail snacks.

The MacLehose Trail is a very long hiking trail in Hong Kong, named after a former governor of Hong Kong. It is divided into 10 sections, each about 5–10 km long, starting from Sai Kung in the west and ending in Tuen Mun in the east, running through the New Territories of Hong Kong. Except for some paved sections, most of the MacLehose Trail is built along the mountainside. Sections 3, 4, 7, and 8 are continuous rugged mountain roads with hundreds of meters of ups and downs. The first section starts from Pak Tam Chung and is mostly flat, but there are no supplies, so be sure to stock up on water at the Pak Tam Chung parking lot tea pavilion. The second section starts at Long Ke Wan, follows the boundary of the country park, and ends at Pak Tam Road. This section takes more than 4 hrs and has two supply stations: Sai Wan, where you can buy water, eat, and camp; and the end point, where you can take a bus or walk to the Wong Shek Pier Campsite. After climbing the steep Sai Wan Shan from Long Ke Wan Beach, the magnificent and vast coastal scenery is perfect for taking photos. Today's journey wasn't easy at all. I was a bit careless and didn't bring enough trail snacks.
