Xishan Temple, worship the Goddess of Mercy, the most peaceful and serene place.

A temple I hadn't initially considered, but upon visiting, it captivated me and made me want to return. I recommend the Xishan Temple. The magnificent and imposing statue of Guan Yin sits atop a hill, offering a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. To be honest, I'm not particularly into Buddhists, temples, or religion. I happened to be visiting Hong Kong with my mother, and this temple was on my itinerary. This was the first temple I've ever visited that I've ever been so enthralled with. From the moment I stepped foot into the temple, I felt a sense of peace. If you're hesitant, I urge you to give it a try. ✅ This post will introduce: 1. Booking a time to visit the temple 2. Getting there 3. Activities within the temple ‼️ Warning: This temple requires a reservation. Entry is forbidden. Officials are very strict about entry (there are a daily limit on visitors). 🧧Reservations are required to scan the QR code to enter the temple. You can book directly on the temple's website. (There is no charge for booking or participating in temple activities.) Once you've selected a date and time, you'll receive a confirmation email and a QR code for entry. You can change your visit date. **Book a time to enter the temple. You may enter approximately one hour before your scheduled time, depending on the discretion of the temple staff. You can stay until the temple closes.** 🗓️Travel Planning (From Accommodation) Start: Tsim Sha Tsui 🚇 Take the MRT East Tsim Sha Tsui Station (Brown Tuen Ma Line) Get off at Hung Hom Station 🔁 Transfer to the East Rail Line (Blue Line) and get off at Tai Po Market Station 🚌 Take bus No. 20T, which stops right in front of the temple (other lines require a walk uphill). The fare is ~8.30 for the entire trip. Enjoy the ride! Return: Take bus No. 20T from the temple to Tai Po Market Station. No need to walk down the hill. ❇️ Activities within the temple (only those we did) - Collect flower-pattern stamps at 10 locations throughout the temple. (The temple provides a temple map. You can take that card and go get stamps. - Museum under the entrance to the large Guanyin statue. We'll tell you a little about the collection of Buddha statues from various countries here. Inside, you'll find ancient Buddha statues from the Qing Dynasty, ancient Japan, and even items from Thailand. - Chinese calligraphy (I think it's a poem or a blessing). After exploring the museum, before reaching the exit, there's a room where people are writing something. If you're interested, try going in and writing. There's a watermark on the paper for you to follow. It's quite easy, as you can see from our picture. ❗️There are no restaurants or beverages upstairs, and bringing meat into the temple is prohibited. The temple has water refill stations and clean restrooms. Finally, we'd like to tell you that this is a temple we really like and would like to return. For those who are hesitant about whether to go, as reservations are required to enter, we can tell you it's not as difficult as you think. We highly recommend it if you enjoy peace and quiet, a quiet environment, and a peaceful atmosphere. This is a place to rest your mind and take a break from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. And most importantly, there's no incense or cigarette smoke to disturb you. The air is fresh. I can breathe deeply. #hongkong #travelhongkong #tszshanmonastery
