There were delicious mango sticky rice balls, braised squid, herbal tea, and a special treat called 'Sha Weng,' which is a sweet local snack that lifts your mood~ · ✅ Actually, Tai O can be combined with Ngong Ping Lantau Island attractions. Visit Lantau Island in the morning and arrive at Tai O by noon. The residents told me that pink dolphins are more active before noon, so the best time to see them is around midday~ Therefore, if you wake up early, you can explore Lantau Island in the morning and then come to Tai O to spend a day and a half~ · ✅ In Tai O, it's best to explore on foot, taste traditional Tai O delicacies and street snacks, and then walk to a café by the pier to enjoy some coffee and relax~ Actually, the best place to relax and unwind is the Tai O Heritage Hotel, a colonial-style building from the early 20th century. It is a pure white seaside European-style building, revitalized from the old Tai O Police Station. For example, the restaurant Tai O Lookout on the first floor of the hotel retains the original rooftop watchtower. This seaside restaurant also features a glass roof design, making it a great spot for photos! In the evening, enjoy Tai O's unique cuisine and watch the sunset over the sea. It's incredibly romantic!
