Po Lin Monastery, Hong Kong Po Lin Monastery, also known as the Big Buddha, is located on a hilltop and is a magnificent example of authentic Chinese architecture. Inside is the Tian Tan Buddha, the world's largest outdoor bronze Buddha statue, which is 22 meters high and 34 meters high including the base. Under the base of the Buddha is the sacred tooth relic that was brought from Sri Lanka.
