#waffles and shrimp cakes On Sunday, I was looking for a place to have dinner in #Tsim Sha Tsui East. I wanted to eat #Thai food, so I chose Ruên Thai & Vietnamese. I really like the ceiling decorated with plants in the restaurant. I ordered fried squid ($98) as an appetizer. It smelled fragrant when it was served. It was hot and spicy and very delicious. The batter was thin enough and the squid was fresh and thick enough. The Malachan water spinach ($98) tasted spicier than expected. The shrimps were big and very tasty. The pineapple seafood fried rice ($138) was very rich in ingredients, including shrimp, crab sticks, squid, meat floss, raisins, cherry tomatoes, eggs and cashews. There were also sweet and juicy fresh pineapple pieces. The rice was fried dry and not greasy. The Thai yellow curry crab meat with garlic bun ($188) was attractive in appearance. The golden garlic bun was not baked too hard, and the garlic flavor was not too strong to steal the spotlight of the curry sauce. A bowl of Thai yellow curry crab meat is more than enough to fill four garlic buns. It is not only the watery curry sauce, but also the crab meat. The addition of smooth egg whites reminds the waffles and shrimp cakes of "squid crabs". The yellow curry is fragrant but not spicy, which is very suitable for the taste of waffles.
