Lu Yang is a Chinese new media artist who excels in using digital technology to combine elements such as video, animation, and video games to create works that reflect his own existence through a unique aesthetic style. At this exhibition at the Oil Street Glass House, Lu Yang showcased a series of hyper-realistic digital avatar works he began creating in 2020, titled "DOKU", which means "born alone and die alone." In these works, he transcends physical limitations and explores philosophical and religious considerations such as time, space, subject, and object, leading the audience into an otherworldly realm.
