The Wai is a 650,000-square-foot shopping mall owned by the MTR Corporation in Hong Kong. Located at 18 Che Kung Temple Road, Tai Wai, Sha Tin District, New Territories, it sits on the podium of The Pavillion, a property above Tai Wai MTR Station. The mall is owned and operated by MTR and is scheduled to open at 12:00 noon on July 22, 2023. This new lifestyle landmark, located above Tai Wai MTR Station, is the only large-scale shopping mall in the Tai Wai district. The Wai boasts 650,000 square feet of space and houses nearly 150 tenants, offering customers a unique and exciting experience. The Wai also enjoys the convenience of a dual-line intersection, offering easy access to both the East Rail Line and the Tuen Ma Line. Tai Wai also boasts an excellent land transport network, with four major tunnels connecting Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories, ensuring excellent transportation. As the largest new mall in Tai Wai, Wai Fang boasts four floors and approximately 650,000 square feet of space. It houses over 150 shops, including a Korean restaurant specializing in beef ribs, a century-old Nagoya restaurant, the popular Mandarin Hainanese chicken rice shop Chatterbox, and a MUJI store.
