By chance, we met Mirror members, Edan and Jeremy. It was a very unforgettable holiday. They are really nice🥰! I believe many people must have heard of the five-star brand Shangri-La. It is expensive and seems out of reach. I was fortunate enough to stay in Sentosa, Singapore before, which was very unforgettable. Now due to the epidemic, many five-star hotels are reducing prices and promoting sales, which is really rare. This time I will try this old brand in Hong Kong to see if it can stand out from the competition with many new five-star hotels and become another hotel with zero negative reviews. This summer vacation package includes a 30-hour weekday stay. We chose a sea view room, which allows us to enjoy cafe TOO buffet breakfast, dinner, and takeaway English afternoon tea. When checking in, we were informed that there would be renovation works on weekdays, so we were arranged on the high floor 55th floor. However, when we wanted to rest in the morning and afternoon, we still heard very noisy noises and could not rest, which was the same as GH. Please note that from August 15 to October 31, 2021, the hotel will only accept accommodation on Friday and Saturday nights, which makes people look forward to the new look later 😁 Fortunately, the No. 3 typhoon signal🌬The outdoor swimming pool is still open, and guests can still choose whether to go, so the children will not be disappointed. The swimming pool is full of family guests, and parents endure the cold and go into the water with their children🥶After checking in, you can make an appointment once a day, one hour each time, open from 6 am to 9 pm, with warm towels and changing rooms, and a small amount of buoyancy equipment can be used free of charge. For children's activities, there are self-funded summer gymnastics classes 🤸🏻‍♂️ that can be participated in, $250 for three hours, you need to stay and make an appointment first, parents cannot accompany English teaching, parents can have three hours of me time‼ ️Most of the courses are for loaned children. Shawn thought it was fun after playing, but the horizontal bar and vaulting horse are too difficult and can only be learned by older children, so it is purely for letting off steam. In addition, children can play in the game room 🚼, which has enough space and is suitable for young children. It is only open from Wednesday to Sunday and reservations must be made in advance. Each session is one hour and only one parent can accompany the child. It is recommended to extend the opening hours and days. In addition, children were provided with a game booklet when they checked in📖, which was very good for strengthening their understanding of Shangri-La Hotel. They needed to complete tasks to exchange for gifts🎁, such as finding out what kind of cake was the most popular in the dessert shop, how many paintings were there in the lobby, etc. However, the gift was not sincere, it was just a mini toy car, which felt cobbled together and had nothing to do with the hotel. Other five-star hotels would give out ice cream coupons, stationery or hotel-branded dolls🧸, so you can refer to it. In addition, Cafe Too's buffet is disappointing, with fewer choices than before. Golden Circle members can enjoy free meals for children under six years old. The breakfast is not worth mentioning, there is no Jiuxiang Laksa, and it was known that there would be no oysters for dinner. The frozen lobster was changed to teppanyaki, and you have to queue for ten minutes to get half a lobster. The whole pork chop buns and pot stickers are delicious, and other food is average. Many desserts are repeated, but the tarts and ice cream are very delicious. In-room dining is a surprise, with a 30% discount. The hotel staff responded quickly and was very polite. The food was delivered within half an hour. They would actively ask the number of diners and provide children's tableware. The insulated dining cart has cold water. Hainanese chicken rice and pizza are very delicious. 🏨Every corner of the hotel exudes an antique and nostalgic flavor. Every employee is very polite. It is worth mentioning that the old employees, even the cleaning staff, are particularly enthusiastic. The staff who replied to emails and the front desk were very efficient. The process was pleasant and fast, and they also reminded us that there was afternoon tea to take away. The afternoon tea is beautifully packaged, and the salty and sweet desserts are very surprising. I think I will choose to dine in next time and enjoy the leisurely time 🍰. The only thing is that the performance and enthusiasm of the young staff in the concierge department are inferior to those of the senior staff. It is indeed not easy to cultivate a sense of belonging among a group of young employees, and it is even more difficult to get zero negative reviews from guests. There is a large garden in the hotel, with a 16-story-high Chinese landscape silk painting - "Beautiful Rivers and Mountains" ⛰, which can be appreciated by taking a transparent elevator to the middle floor. There is also a library lounge for everyone to visit. In conclusion, it is great value to be able to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel Hong Kong at this price. It would be perfect if the weather was better.
