Those who haven't been to Hokkaido up north are missing the most beautiful parts of this gorgeous country. The north especially during various seasons transforms into something else. You have it witness it yourself. Like with most other prefectures, you will have plenty of options. Yes, this is going to be slightly more expensive than other places.
