Ulan Hada Volcano, a must-visit experience for kids

Inner Mongolia Ulan Hada Volcanic Geopark Located within the territory of Ulan Hada Sumu, Chayouhouqi, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is only 380 kilometers away from Beijing. The park covers an area of 65.9 square kilometers and has more than 20 volcanoes, which are Holocene volcanoes discovered on the southern edge of the Inner Mongolia Plateau. The volcanic craters are well-preserved, with large-scale eruptions, lava flow terraces, and volcanic dammed lakes developed. The age of the volcanoes is close to the period of human activities, forming a natural volcanic 'museum' in the depths of the grassland. The lava flows from the volcanic eruptions are influenced by the terrain, passing through rivers, valleys, and marshes to form new landforms, such as stone rivers, stone lakes, stone seas, stone waves, stone birds, stone beasts, and other unique volcanic grassland landscapes. The scenic area does not charge an entrance fee at present, and many tourists, dressed in spacesuits and holding the five-star red flag, stand at the foot of the active volcano, experiencing what it feels like to be an astronaut in space.
