Ho Chi Minh City | The Reunification Palace - A Symbol of Vietnam's Independence and Unity

🔝 The Reunification Palace was once the office of the French Governor in Vietnam (the headquarters of the French military in Indochina), and later became the presidential residence of the former South Vietnamese government, where heads of state were received and meetings were held. The four-story white symmetrical building was renamed 'Reunification Palace' to highlight the symbol of Vietnam's struggle for independence. There are over 100 large and small reception halls, and the reception hall on the first floor is quite magnificent. The windows look great from the inside out, but you can't see inside from the outside. Although the building is relatively large, there are not many exhibits inside, so it takes just over half an hour to visit. I revisited the place and took photos at the same spot, haha. The outside courtyard is very large and the environment is serene, with most areas not open to tourists. Less than 300 meters across the central axis to the right 👉 is the Notre Dame Cathedral ⛪️ and the Central Post Office.
