Hometown of Fujiko Fujio - Himi City

Himi, located in the northwestern part of Toyama Prefecture, is known for its abundant seafood resources and stunning natural scenery. It is also the hometown of the famous manga artist Fujiko Fujio. Upon arriving at Himi Station, you will find clear maps guiding you to tourist attractions such as Himi Fishing Port and Himinoe Park. Alternatively, you can take the city loop bus to the final stop at Himi Fishing Port and enjoy a leisurely walk back to the station. The shopping streets here are mostly closed, but strolling through them is very pleasant without the crowds. Along the streets, you’ll find adorable art installations of Ninja Hattori, making it fun to collect photos of all the characters! Additionally, the train from Takaoka to Himi features Ninja Hattori-themed designs, and even the city loop buses are decorated with Fujiko Fujio's cartoon illustrations.
