My dears, this time we discovered an amazing little-known check-in spot around Osaka - Kokoen! It is hidden next to the majestic Himeji Castle and is one of the top 5 Japanese gardens in my mind. The entrance to the garden doesn’t look big, but once you enter it’s like opening a treasure box🎁, with 9 courtyards with different themes. The water garden is lively, the tea garden is quiet, and the pine garden is vigorous. Each courtyard has its own unique charm. No matter what season you come, you can encounter beautiful scenery🌸. The garden adopts the architectural style of the Edo period, which is in perfect harmony with Himeji Castle, and is particularly photogenic. The restaurant at the entrance also has a unique flavor, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lake view, which is super beautiful~ When I went there in September, I also tried the summer limited "eel ibonoito-somen" and the local handmade "somen" in Hyogo Prefecture, which tasted amazing😋. It's super quiet and cozy here, with no noisy tour groups and no internet celebrities taking random photos.
