Gannan's Hidden Realm, the Meiren Grassland

The Meiren Grassland, located to the east of Hezuo City in Gansu Province, is a highland meadow grassland landscape unique to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The Meiren Grassland is also an essential passageway to the Kangdu Grand Canyon, Lianhua Mountain, and other scenic areas. The Meiren Grassland is dotted with numerous raised meadows that form a continuous undulating landscape; the meadows are covered with colorful flowers, blooming in clusters, creating a refreshing and delightful atmosphere. The grassland is like an uncut jade, unspoiled by human development, quietly revealing its beauty. Whether it's the vast pastures, the winding riverbanks, or the straight roadsides, everywhere is adorned with wildflowers, presenting a charming scene. The 600-meter-long prayer flag tunnel is another unique feature of the Meiren Grassland. Driving or walking through the prayer flag tunnel, the fluttering colorful prayer flags will fill you with a sense of ceremony as you enter the Tibetan area. The terrain of the Meiren Grassland is gentle, with a unique and diverse landscape, characteristic of the highland meadow grassland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. On the grassland stands a peculiar and massive white stone, about 6 meters tall, cone-shaped, covering an area of about 50 square meters, draped with prayer flags. Beside it is an arrow shooting platform. Legend has it that this giant stone suppresses demons, and the local Tibetans regard it as an auspicious object. Touching the stone is believed to bless one's family with safety, abundant harvests, and prosperity. July is the most beautiful season on the grassland.
