I usually found a sunny weekend and went to Hengshan Mountain to take pictures with my tent and tripod on my back. At that time, there were still high-speed trains from Guangzhou to Hengshan. Every Saturday morning, we would set off, climb the mountain, and then take pictures of the sunset, starry sky, sunrise, and sea of ​​clouds, and then we could go back to the city contentedly. Of course, the weather on the mountain is changeable, and sometimes it is sunny down the mountain and cloudy on the mountain for the entire weekend. — Recently, I suddenly thought of going to Hengshan to watch the stars on the weekend. After being unable to get a ticket for half a month, I finally got a ticket to Hengshan in the afternoon before departure last week. When we arrived at the foot of the mountain, we discovered that there were several antique commercial streets built outside the scenic area. After taking a stroll, there were incense sellers everywhere. On the other hand, Nanyue Temple, which I had never visited before, was surprisingly easy to visit. Although most of the temples are new buildings, in terms of scale and exquisiteness, they are actually better than most temples on the mountain. After all, Nanyue Temple is one of the largest and most complete ancient palace-style buildings in southern China. It is also known as the "Forbidden City of the South". — Since our physical strength is not as good as before, we gave up the idea of ​​hiking up the mountain this time. However, the cable car in Hengshan has long been out of service, so we can only choose to take a car for more than half an hour to go up the mountain. Starting at four or five o'clock in the afternoon, dark clouds came one after another, and there were a few short bursts of rain. The blue sky was squeezed until it was almost invisible. Just when we thought that was the end of the day, a faint orange color began to appear in the west, and then a golden light appeared. The sunset finally came late, and even a brief rainbow appeared in the east - we cheered for a long time. The good times didn't last long. After the fire clouds faded away, we were greeted by a long night of cloudy skies and lightning. It even started to rain the next day. Not being able to see the starry sky and sunrise has become a regret for this trip to Hengshan...
