Shangrao｜Breathe natural oxygen and drink tea in the mountains

Opening the window reveals endless green mountains, and this hidden getaway homestay in Hengfeng amazed me🌄 At Xipo Homestay in Geyuan Town, Hengfeng, I realized my ultimate dream of "lying down and watching the mountains"! Although the stargazing plan was ruined by strong winds and bad weather (it ended up being a magical experience of eating hotpot in the wind while seeing a few scattered stars😅), this design-focused homestay surrounded by mountains still gave me many surprises— ⛰️ Divine Location: An aesthetic space hidden in the wilderness • Located on the hillside of Shiqiao Village, you’ll doubt your life choices when following the navigation, but you’re almost there • Surrounded by pristine forest, if you’re lucky, you can see a sea of clouds and sunrise from the room • Highlighting the view: 180° unobstructed mountain scenery, every window is a dynamic landscape painting 🛏️ Room Experience: Wild luxury design that detail lovers will adore • Our terrace room “rented out” the entire mountain view • Modern minimalist design but not cold at all, natural wood furniture + cement walls surprisingly match well • Thoughtfully equipped each room with electric mosquito repellents and special mosquito spray • Bathroom amenities have a custom herbal scent, soaking in the tub while watching the mountain view is so healing 📸 Photo Heaven: Every snap looks like a forest-themed masterpiece 1. Room terrace: Wear a white dress in the early morning mist for a fairy-like silhouette, no filter needed 2. Lawn area: Use perspective tricks to create the effect of “enjoying the entire forest alone” 3. By the floor-to-ceiling window: Hold a book in the afternoon sunlight for a full lazy vibe 🍜 Foodie Guide: Wild mountain flavors that will make you full to the point of leaning on the wall • Must-try Jiangxi rice noodles! The host said they use local handmade noodles, and the broth is so fresh you’ll lick the bowl • Dinner included native chicken soup and stir-fried cured meat with mountain bamboo shoots, all ingredients picked fresh from the village that day • Hotpot experience was magical… but the ingredients were top-notch fresh (just too windy, so indoor dining is recommended) 🎯 Nearby Activities: • Ancient trail hiking: Follow the host’s map for a 30-minute walk to a wild waterfall • Geyuan Town market: Every Wednesday morning, 15 minutes by car • Stargazing tips: Check the lunar calendar and clear weather in advance (don’t blindly rush like me) 💡 Check-in Tips: • Self-driving is most convenient, about 2.5 hours from Nanchang Airport • Bring mosquito repellent in spring and summer, and a light jacket in autumn and winter (big temperature difference in the mountains) • Family-friendly: There’s a children’s art room and outdoor trampoline • To see the sea of clouds, choose a sunny day after the rainy season; sunrise lovers should book an east-facing room Although I didn’t get to see the Milky Way, falling asleep to the sound of the wind and waking up to birdsong in the mountains became the most unforgettable memory～ Oh, and before you leave, remember to draw a star in the guestbook✨ to make up for our stargazing regret haha～
