On a weekday off, I went for a drive to Hayama for lunch 🚘 My destination was the long-established restaurant La Mare 🇫🇷 Chaya's cakes and cafes are famous in department stores, but this is the main restaurant. The location right above the sea is the best ✨ I was excited even before entering the restaurant 💕 The first floor is a slightly casual bistro, and the second floor is a French restaurant that you can visit by reservation. Since the weather is great, I went to the second floor today 🥰 I had a lunch course for 5,500 yen 🍽 From the appetizers to the main course, it is creative French cuisine, so you can feel the attention to detail and ingenuity in the dishes, such as using Japanese ingredients, tuna roe, olive powder, and Asian spices 🤗 Even though there are many ingredients in one dish, each one is well balanced, which impressed me.
