Harbin Sun Island

On August 18, the weather in Harbin was cool. In the morning, I had a piece of golden beef pastry on Central Street, which was quite delicious. I walked to the Flood Control Monument and bought a ferry ticket for 2 yuan to cross to Sun Island's Entrance No. 1. After walking a short distance along the Songhua River, I reached Entrance No. 3. Be cautious not to be tricked by the ticket-selling lady; she might try to persuade you to buy a 10-yuan ticket. Sun Island is a park, a great spot for locals to enjoy the outdoors and take their kids for a stroll. A leisurely walk around the park takes about half a day. On the grass, you can also find people picnicking and camping. After exploring Sun Island, I returned to the dock and bought another 2-yuan ferry ticket to go back to the Flood Control Monument. From there, I walked to the Shanhetun Iron Pot Stew restaurant on Central Street and ordered a pot of meat. Although I chose a lighter flavor, it was still too salty. However, the restaurant offers free unlimited ice cream, which was quite tasty.
