In Harbin, the city of ice, there is an ancient and mysterious place - Harbin Confucian Temple! Harbin Confucian Temple is a religious building and cultural landscape tourist area. It is the third largest Confucian Temple in China, after the Confucian Temple in Qufu and the Confucian Temple in Beijing. It was built to worship Confucius, an ancient Chinese educator and thinker. It was built in 1926 and completed in 1929. There are two statues of Confucius in Harbin Confucian Temple. One is in Dacheng Hall. When the temple was first built, the main position of Dacheng Hall was a huge shrine with carved dragons and gold. The plaque of Confucius was placed in front of the shrine, but there was no statue of Confucius. On September 28, 1989, a statue of Confucius in plain clothes was sculpted to commemorate the 2540th anniversary of Confucius' birth, and it was placed in the shrine for future generations to visit. The second statue is on the central path in the first courtyard. The bronze statue of Confucius between Lingxing Gate and Dacheng Gate in the first courtyard is 3.3 meters high.
