Steps from entering the station to exiting at the destination: • After booking, check your ticket for the departure station and counter check-in number. • At Shanghai Hongqiao, non-Chinese passengers must show their passport for verification before entering the station. • Bags are scanned after passenger verification. • Once inside, wait at the designated counter check-in area (mine was 18B and 19B). • Use your original passport to scan before heading to the train platform. • Board the train according to your car and seat number. • Enjoy a comfortable ride; First Class seats are arranged 2-2, while Second Class seats are 2-3. • The train's restroom is very clean, offering both squat and seated toilets. Seats are adjustable, but power outlets are only available on the left side of the train. • Upon arrival at the destination station, simply use your passport for scanning to exit. Booking tickets is easy, and the journey is more convenient than expected.
