Lingyin Temple

Lingyin Temple is one of the oldest and most significant Buddhist temples in China, located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. With a history spanning over 1,600 years, it was established during the Eastern Jin Dynasty (326 AD) by an Indian monk named Hui Li (慧理). The temple serves as a center for Zen Buddhism and is recognized as one of the ten most famous Buddhist temples in China. It is renowned for prayers related to wealth and prosperity, as well as its unique stone bracelets that are highly revered by Chinese worshippers. This is a place where you can spend an entire day exploring. The interior resembles a shopping mall, complete with numerous restaurants, so you won’t have to worry about going hungry. Admission to the site costs 40 yuan, and if you wish to enter the temple itself, there is an additional fee of 35 yuan.
