After purchasing tickets, we entered the tower and began our tour. The most famous story of Leifeng Pagoda is the Legend of the White Snake. Listening to the guide explain the story's background, I imagined the love story of Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian unfolding by the lake, making everything come alive. We climbed to the top floor of Leifeng Pagoda and looked down at the beautiful scenery of West Lake from above. The lake surface shimmered, with the Broken Bridge and Su Causeway faintly visible in the distance. Standing at the top, the view was vast, and the full panorama of West Lake was in sight. At that moment, I couldn't help but feel that Leifeng Pagoda is not only a landmark of Hangzhou but also a witness to history, coexisting with West Lake and becoming one of the city's souls. In the evening, we strolled in Leifeng Pagoda Park at the base of the tower, where the lakeside scenery was even more charming. The sunset over West Lake was particularly beautiful, with golden light reflecting on the lake surface, creating a picturesque scene with the distant willows and green hills. Such a sight was mesmerizing, as if time had stopped at that moment. Tired from walking, we dined at a lakeside restaurant, savoring authentic Hangzhou cuisine like Dongpo Pork and Longjing Shrimp, which greatly satisfied our appetites. Day 2: Touring West Lake and Enjoying the Blend of Nature and Culture On the second morning, we greeted the sunrise and arrived at the Broken Bridge by West Lake. This bridge is famous for its unique geographical location and its close connection to the Legend of the White Snake. Standing on the bridge, we could see the rippling waters of West Lake and the distant mountains shrouded in mist, giving a sense of mystery. The scenery here was extremely gentle, reminding me of Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian's encounter and their timeless love story. Afterward, we strolled along the Su Causeway of West Lake. The Su Causeway stretches about three kilometers from north to south and is one of the famous attractions of West Lake. The causeway is lined with willow trees, which are lush in spring and green in summer, making it very pleasant to walk along. The lake water here is clear, and the gentle breeze lifts the spirits. Along the way, we stopped to visit Su Causeway Spring Dawn, one of the Ten Scenes of West Lake, known for its unique morning scenery. The morning view here is tranquil and beautiful, with mist often floating on the lake, resembling a fairyland. Next, we visited the Flower Harbor Fish Viewing near the Leifeng Pagoda scenic area, a beautiful spot by West Lake with various goldfish and carp swimming in the pond, surrounded by lush flowers and plants, attracting many photography enthusiasts. At this time, the surface of West Lake was like a mirror, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. At noon, we had lunch at a lakeside restaurant, this time tasting Hangzhou's West Lake Vinegar Fish, a dish with a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors and tender fish meat, very appetizing. After the meal, we wandered around a few more small attractions, such as Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and Yue Fei Temple, each filled with rich cultural atmosphere and unique stories and backgrounds.
