|Healed by the green. Hupao Park after the rain is so healing, with lush greenery, fresh air, and sunlight shining on the forest and water, it is like a fairyland. According to legend, in the 14th year of the Yuanhe period of the Tang Dynasty, Master Xingkong, a high monk, lived in seclusion and built a temple here. Later, he wanted to move away because there was no water source nearby. One night, he suddenly dreamed of a god telling him, "There is a Tongzi Spring in Nanyue, and two tigers will be sent to move it." Sure enough, the next day, he saw two tigers digging a hole, and the spring water gushed out, hence the name Hupao Spring. Hupao Spring is also known as the "Third Spring in the World." The spring water is sweet, and it is said that during the southern tours of Kangxi and Qianlong, they designated Hupao Spring water for making tea. Now there is a special water collection point in the park, and many citizens bring buckets to collect water to make Longjing tea. Ji Gong, a high monk, first became a monk at Lingyin Temple, then lived at Jingci Temple, and finally passed away at Hupao Temple. There is also a Ji Gong Pagoda in the park.
