Beautiful Temple - Yongfu Zen Temple

Yongfu Temple, praised as the first blessed place in Qiantang, is hidden under the Shisun Peak to the west of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, about 200 meters away from Lingyin Temple. It has a history of more than 1,600 years since the opening of the mountain by Master Huili in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. After several renovations, it was officially opened to the public in 2005. The name of the temple, "Yongfu," means "praying for the gospel and blessings, eternal happiness and peace." It is hidden under the Shisun Peak, accompanied by mountain rocks and singing along the clear spring. It breaks the traditional central axis system of temples. The five independent and open courtyards are Puyuan Pure Courtyard, Jialing Lecture Courtyard, Ziyan Wisdom Courtyard, Guxiang Zen Courtyard, and Fuquan Tea Courtyard. The seven-entry, five-hall, three-hall, two-pavilion, two-building, and five-pavilion building complex is built on the mountain, with a staggered layout. Although these courtyards are not directly connected, they are ingeniously integrated into the surrounding green tea garden environment and more than a thousand ancient trees through the response between buildings and the relationship between the ups and downs of the terrain. It is one of the largest temples in Hangzhou.
