Hangzhou | Tasty vegetarian restaurant near Lei Feng Tower

Last time I visited Hangzhou, I went back to Su Chun Zhai, located near Jingci Temple. Avoid peak dining hours, and you'll find it much less crowded. The menu has changed since my visit last year, now featuring more seasonal vegetables. The dish names are poetically inspired, like "Seeing a Mountain as a Mountain," adding a touch of Hangzhou's cultural charm. Furong Tofu: Flavored with salted egg yolk, this dish beautifully combines the aroma of tofu with the rich, savory taste of the yolk. Braised Bamboo Shoots and Gluten: Bamboo shoots in Hangzhou are a must-try wherever you go, and this dish didn’t disappoint. The gluten was soft and flavorful, with a texture reminiscent of beef.
