The temperament of Hilton Hangzhou Jinsha Lake Canopy is fundamentally different from the other three same-brand hotels located in the core urban areas of China. The latter three are a combination of metropolitan fashion and popular online hotspots, both beautiful and cool. However, Jinsha Lake Canopy is more like a boutique hotel hidden in a corner of the city, focusing on showcasing its small yet beautiful essence. If guests expect this brand to be like the other three, they might be slightly disappointed when staying here, as the instant visual amazement is not to be found. Yet, this hotel has its own value, representing a new domain for the Canopy brand, breaking away from the urban core and metropolitan style, providing a necessary template for future establishments of this type. Perhaps due to the significant template effect, my most genuine feeling after staying in this room is like visiting a show flat launched for property sales, superficially pure and tranquil, but lacking depth in details. Especially the hardware quality is not up to par, bathroom fixtures and metal pieces, although not necessarily international brands, should at least not be no-name products. The overall decoration style still reflects the Canopy's tone, with the label-style headboard design reaching the ceiling, here transformed into a semi-hollow carved wooden wall, echoing the lush atmosphere of the public areas. The decorative spaces on both sides of the TV wall, with orderly alleys on the left and distant landscapes on the right, combine aesthetics with functionality. Regarding member benefits, there are complimentary breakfast for two, a slight room upgrade, and welcome fruit, which is better than nothing. The gradual reduction of benefits is also a trend in chasing international trends, which is understandable. However, the absence of an executive lounge, coupled with additional charges for the Mini bar, seems a bit ungenerous on the part of the owner. The not-to-be-missed fitness space is located on the second floor of the hotel, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a clear view, convenient for exercising while taking photos, truly understanding the art of marketing. Unfortunately, there is no swimming pool, but one will gradually get used to it. The next day's breakfast is arranged in the lakeside restaurant on the first floor. Compared to the charming scenery outside the window, the food on the table is unremarkable, with few varieties, mostly pre-made, and local specialties are hard to find. The confused noodle-making lady produced sticky noodles, which was a unique disappointment. Overall, the hotel is beautiful but not stunning. Suitable for business travelers or frequent flyers. For tourists visiting Hangzhou, it is better to stay around West Lake honestly.
