In 1940, Zhang Tianfang embarked on the discovery journey of Tianmu Porcelain Kiln. The main firing methods of Tianmu Kiln products are box-bowl firing and open-fire stacking. The firing kiln has box bowls, support rings, support nails, cushion cakes, strip-shaped cushion rings, simple-shaped cushion rings, pillars, etc. Celadon bowls, plates, etc. use the method of scraping glaze on the inner bottom and stacking sand grains in open fire. Basins, stoves, boxes and other high-quality requirements generally use the combination of pillars, cushion rings, and support nails for stacking. In order to make full use of the space in the kiln, all kinds of utensils are stacked and fired. One or two pieces of black glazed porcelain are placed on the top of the stacked celadon bowls, and a celadon plate is covered to form a bowl-shaped box-bowl for kiln firing. This is a unique firing method of Tianmu Kiln, and the product quality is relatively high.
