[Shizuoka Prefecture] Hamamatsu Castle

A castle that has 300 years of Tokugawa history. There is also a statue of Tokugawa Ieyasu in his youth. The castle is famous for being the place where Ieyasu spent 17 years. The grounds and buildings are not that large, but the rough stone walls, the imposing castle tower, and the view of Hamamatsu from there are beautiful. It was unfortunate that it was raining, but I'm sure it would be beautiful during cherry blossom season. There is also a Starbucks Coffee in the park, where we took shelter from the rain.
