Gone fishing at Lake Ashi

We accessed Mount Fuji via Lake Ashi. Though we did not get a full view of Mount Fuji because it was not a clear day. we were treated to the amazing view at lake ashi or lake ashinoko. we took pictures, ate piping hot noodles by the lake. we chanced upon a local fishing and he was kind enough to let us try his fishing gears. unfortunately though, we did not catch any fish. we enjoyed the sight a lot that we missed the last bus trip and have to access another route just to get to the nearest train station. at the station, we missed the last train back to osaka. so just a word of caution, to those who are planning on a day trip, it is better to book an overnight trip there to maximize the beauty of the place since it is considerably far from the station.
