Impression of Haining Yanguan

Yanguan is located in the southeast of Haining City, a town under the jurisdiction of Haining City, Jiaxing. Haining Yanguan is a thousand-year-old ancient city, more than 2200 years old. According to historical records, the name of Yanguan began in the early Western Han Dynasty. King Liu Bi of Wu boiled the sea and sun-dried salt here, set up the salt official, hence the name. Yanguan is a famous place for watching tides. Every year from the 15th to the 18th of the lunar August is the best time to watch the Qiantang River tide. Yanguan Ancient Town is located at the mouth of the Qiantang River, with a very superior geographical location, and the economy here is very developed. Yanguan Ancient Town is also a place where people are outstanding and the land is spiritual. Many historical celebrities come from here. My interest in Yanguan is not the tide that is famous all over the world, but the profound cultural heritage here. Yanguan is the hometown of the famous modern scholar Wang Guowei. Wang Guowei is a rare genius, a famous master of Chinese studies during the Republic of China, and the last 'Imperial Teacher' in China. If you don't observe Wang Guowei's knowledge, you don't know the greatness of the master, the height of the mountain. His 'Three Realms Theory' is indescribable and beneficial. A hundred miles is not half, a song of the world. Mr. Jing'an is the master of Chinese studies I admire. Paying homage to his former residence is my purpose of coming to Yanguan. But unfortunately, it happened that Yanguan Ancient Town was being renovated and rectified, Wang Guowei's former residence was not open to the public, because of the transformation, the ancient town was basically in a semi-closed state, with few visitors. But there is a palace-style temple here, which is very eye-catching - Yanguan Sea God Temple. About the Sea God Temple, there is still an unresolved royal legend.
