Mannyeong Bridge: A Cultural Gem in Changnyeong

Located in Dong-ri, Yeongsan-myeon, Changnyeong-gun, Mannyeong Bridge, also known as "Wondari," is a unique structure built by hand, with each stone carefully stacked by people. Traditionally, during the full moon, locals would walk back and forth across the bridge according to their age, believing it would strengthen the bridge. I fondly remember holding my mother’s hand and doing the same, as did many in the neighborhood. Today, Mannyeong Bridge has become a popular photo spot for tourists, especially in autumn when the leaves turn a vibrant yellow, creating a picturesque backdrop.
