Trip To Museom Village in Winter Season

#wintertrip Famous for its log bridge, Museom Village is a small traditional hanok village built on a river bend south of Yeongju. The river bend makes the village appear to be on an island. In fact, Museom village translates to "the island that floats on water." The village was originally settled by Bak Su, who moved there, in 1666, after originally living across the river. For over 300 years, the village was only connected to the outside world by a long log bridge (71 9|4702) that needed to be replaced each year after the monsoon season. A concrete bridge was built in 1983, making the log bridge unnecessary. It was not replaced until 2005 when it was rebuilt.
