Gwangyang Maehwa Village – Spring's Opening Act

#cherryblossom25 Technically known for its plum blossoms, Gwangyang Maehwa Village also welcomes early-blooming cherry trees that blend beautifully with the surrounding white and pink landscape. I visited in early spring and was greeted by blossoms spilling down the hillsides and riverbanks. The air was scented, fresh, and alive. Small cafés and local markets added charm without overwhelming the peacefulness of the village. The walk along the Seomjin River was especially gorgeous, with petals gently falling into the water. If you’re in Korea before peak cherry blossom season, this place is the perfect warm-up to spring.
