Learning History & Culture at Guizhou Museum

Welcome to the provincial museum of Guizhou, located in Jinyang, Guangshan Lake District. It is conveniently located along a major road, slightly opposite the Guiyang international convention center. Entrance is free but an online booking is required as there are many people who go to visit the museum. The architect who designed this building definitely knows what he was doing, it’s amazing, very big and very colorful even on the outside confirming the Guizhou motto: Colorful Guizhou. There are various floors once you enter, each section dedicated to different displays. There is the history section, fossils section, clothing section, silverware section, art section, calligraphy section and a special one according to me, the children’s art section (where kids showcase their art) There are also a number of souvenir shops in level -1 where one can buy books, silverware, dyed fabrics all showing the history and culture of Guizhou. It’s quite an experience for history and culture lovers and there’s a lot to learn. Groups can organize a guide to help and introduce different sections of the museum, for individuals, one can get a gadget with prerecorded audio introducing everything in the museum.
