High-altitude plank roads

When Elephant Trunk Hill is mentioned, everyone thinks of Guilin. At the confluence of the Li River and the Peach Blossom River, there is a hill that looks strikingly like a giant elephant standing by the river, extending its trunk to drink mightily. This is Elephant Trunk Hill, one of the symbols of Guilin's landscape. However, Guilin's 'elephant' is located by the water. In contrast, within the Longhu Mountain scenic area in Jiangxi, there is also an Elephant Trunk Hill, naturally formed in the Danxia style, but it is a genuine 'land elephant'. Only by following the high-altitude plank road, built suspended along the mountain, can one delve into the real environment and see this naturally formed Elephant Trunk Hill. The Longhu Mountain high-altitude plank road starts at the Bathing Immortal Pool at the entrance of the scenic area and ends at Elephant Trunk Peak, with a total length of about 3 kilometers. It requires approximately two hours of walking, with few visitors. The plank road is built above the Danxia cliffs, connecting one peak after another. Walking along the lengthy plank road, the distant and close views of the Danxia landscape are fully captured in one's sight.
