Guilin is magical at night. The lights dance on surface of the water in different colors. The smells and noises create an ambience of noisy city life and romantic calm. Take a walk along the river or ride a bike. You can even pay a local to ride you around in a tuk-tuk. There are many food and drink options along the river. Take a cab from your hotel or type in “sun and moon pagoda” into Maps and take a late night stroll. The streets are busy with runners and dog-walkers and ladies doing dance routines to beautiful Chinese music. This is a great place for friends, couples, and families.
