Guangzhou Hidden Waterfall Guide

Driving along Liuxi Lake Circular Road, you'll see a roaring waterfall cascading down on the right side after passing Nanshan Bridge. The mighty torrent carries mountain sediments like a yellow dragon emerging from cliffs after heavy rain, with thunderous sounds resembling wild horses breaking free. In the past, visitors could ascend Nanshan Waterfall by trekking upstream from Nanshan Bridge, climbing over rocks with hands and feet. Now the bridge is fenced off, but you can drive directly near Liangchenguli Yunxi Mountain Lodge at the foot of Wuzhi Mountain. From there, gaze at the emerald Liuxi River winding through layered green mountains. Follow the bamboo forest path as water sounds grow clearer. After climbing giant boulders, you'll discover a mountain stream meandering like a silver ribbon from Wuzhi Mountain's depths, tumbling through jagged rocks to form a jade-green pool. The current flows gently over boulders and fallen trees before plunging down cliffs with earth-shaking force. At the 30-meter drop, the waterfall thunders down with misty grandeur. Sunlight transforms spray into rainbows as you stand on rocks, clothes and hair drenched. Looking back, the waterfall becomes a white streak among clouds, with mountain winds stirring waves through the forest.
