Huangpu Village Feng Ancestral Hall, Huangpu, Guangzhou

Huangpu Village Feng Ancestral Hall, formerly known as Yunyin Feng Ancestral Hall, is located at No. 13 Xipu Street, Huangpu Village, Haizhu District, Guangzhou. It was built to commemorate the fifth generation ancestor of the Feng family, Yunyin. The ancestral hall was built in the 43rd year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1704) and was rebuilt in the 9th year of the Daoguang reign (1829), with a history of more than 300 years. The Feng Ancestral Hall covers an area of about 1,535 square meters. The architectural style is simple and solemn, with green bricks and white walls, like a wise man with white hair. It is said that there are 99 doors in the ancestral hall. Although it has been demolished and rebuilt many times, only 37 doors remain, but it is still one of the most in Guangzhou's ancestral halls. The internal structure of the ancestral hall is complex, including halls, passages, Qingyun Lane, etc. It covers a large area and has various functions. The Feng Ancestral Hall is not only a place for family sacrifices, but also carries rich historical and cultural value. It has undergone many renovations and reconstructions, and is now open to the public for free, becoming an important window to understand the history and culture of Huangpu Village. It is a key cultural relic in Guangzhou.

Liurong Temple (East Gate 1)

Very nice and beautiful temple. The place is not big, but it is really cozy. The temple was built 1500 years ago. The tall pagoda is unfortunately off for climbing to the top. But you can enter other facilities there. The temple is located near other temples too, make sure to check this one, then 10 minutes walk to other historical sites nearby. 📍Address: No. 87, Liu Rong Road, Zhong Shan 6 Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China. 🕰️Business Hours: 08h - 17h every day 💰Average Price per Person: I entered for free, twice. I don’t remember paying for any ticket. But if you google online, it says 5yuan per person. #guangzhou #historyofchina #temple
