European Romantic Park

Liuhua Lake Park officially opened to the public in October 1959 and became free of charge in July 2009. It is a comprehensive park integrating sightseeing, entertainment, and leisure, and one of the four major artificial lakes in Guangzhou. Liuhua Lake is named after the Liuhua Bridge, a historical relic of the Southern Han Dynasty, located northeast of the lake. It still retains its function of flood storage and drainage. Liuhua Lake Park features subtropical scenery, mainly composed of palm plants, ficus plants, flowering shrubs, and open lawns. The park is divided into sightseeing and rest areas, entertainment areas, and flower, bird, and bonsai viewing areas. There are more than 20 main attractions, including Liuhua West Garden, Frankfurt Garden, Egret Island, and Banyan Tree Amusement Park. Main Attractions: White House: This European classical white building, originally named "Shuhong Pavilion," was rebuilt into the current "White House" in 1992 and became the Guangzhou Garden Museum. Standing in the middle of the lake with picturesque scenery, the White House is a landmark building of the park. Many tourists take photos around it. Floating Hill: Floating Hill, located on a small island in the center of the lake in the middle of the park, is the site of "Floating Hill Asking Stones," one of the eight scenic spots of Liuhua. Various palm plants are planted on the island, forming a unique subtropical garden landscape. Viewing pavilions, flower-covered corridors, and shade-loving plant corridors are integrated with the natural environment, providing visitors with open views and pleasant sensory experiences. Flowers currently in bloom in the park include: kapok, yellow tabebuia, bauhinia, azalea, bougainvillea, rose, and more.
