Historical background The predecessor of Tianhe Park was Shipai Forest Farm, which was established by the Guangzhou Municipal Government in 1929.In 1931, it was renamed Zhongshan Park in honor of Sun Yat-sen, changed to Forest Park in 1957, changed its name to Dongjiao Park in 1960, and officially named Tianhe Park in 1997. Main attractions There are many major attractions in Tianhe Park, including Yuehui Garden, Deng Shichang Yiguan Garden, Donghu Pavilion and Yuexiu Garden. A large number of trees, shrubs, flowers, palms and bamboos are planted in the park, as well as many old trees and aquatic forests, forming a rich natural ecological landscape.
