"Great architecture, a permanent memorial"

"Sun Yat-sen Monument" is located at the top of Yuejinggang, Yuexiu Mountain, Guangzhou. It was built in memory of Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of China's democratic revolution, and was completed in 1930. The monument faces south, is 37 meters high, and consists of a square base on the first floor and a monument body above the base. The whole body is made of granite, in the shape of a square cone, with a large bottom and a small top, and a four-slope pointed top. The granite stone inlaid on the front of the monument is engraved with the "Testament of the Prime Minister". The guardrail around the platform of the monument base is carved with 26 stone carvings of sheep heads, symbolizing Guangzhou, the city of sheep. The Sun Yat-sen Monument is an important commemorative building to commemorate and cherish the revolutionary spirit of Sun Yat-sen.
