The Baishuizhai Waterfall in Zengcheng, Guangzhou is breathtakingly beautiful.

🌊Address: Baishuizhai Scenic Area, No. 74 Beishan Road, Paitan Town, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou. Opening hours: 8:30–17:30 (last entry at 16:30). Tickets: CNY 60 for adults, group-buying tickets available online; CNY 30 for children/seniors/students. ❗Eligibility: Seniors aged 60 (inclusive) to 65 (exclusive), free for seniors aged 65 and above with a senior card or ID card; children with a height of 1.2 m (inclusive) to 1.5 m (inclusive), free for children under 1.2 m (exclusive); full-time primary, secondary, and university students (excluding adult education and graduate students) with a student ID or campus card. Parking 🅿: CNY 10 for small cars, CNY 20 for large cars. Tips: We started climbing at 10:30 and reached the 4,099th step at around 13:00. The 4,099th step is actually a reservoir. If you just want to take photos of the waterfall, the 1,499th step is enough. The section from the 4,099th to the 9,999th step is all stone steps with few views and no waterfalls along the way. If you want a challenge, you can try this section. There are few people along the way, and there may even be no signal in the middle, so it is recommended to go with a companion. Note that after 15:30, you are not allowed to continue climbing from the 4,099th to the 9,999th step. It took us about an hour to climb from the 4,099th to the 9,999th step. Mineral water on the mountain is CNY 8, and drinks are CNY 12 per bottle. It is recommended to bring your own food and plenty of water. It is recommended to bring a trekking pole, as it is really tiring! Also, remember to wear a hat, sneakers, and sports pants, and prepare a backpack. Don't wear thick clothes, as they are not breathable and will make you feel hot and stuffy 🥵, and your legs will be more sore when you go downhill. There is a road next to the 9,999th step that leads directly to the 4,099th step, which is about 3 km 🛣, and then you can return along the original stone steps 🔙. We arrived at the foot of the mountain at 16:30. The whole itinerary: 10:30–13:00 (arrive at the 4,099th step) → 13:05–14:02 (arrive at the 9,999th step) → 14:15–16:35 (go down to the foot of the mountain). Be sure to soak your feet after climbing the mountain, or your legs will be sore and painful the next day. After climbing the mountain, we went to eat bamboo rice, which was delicious 😋! The restaurant is called Zhuxiangyuan Bamboo Rice, about 4 km from Baishuizhai. We ordered a bamboo rice with chicken for CNY 68 and a mountain fish for CNY 50, which were delicious, and the mountain fish was served with perilla. We spent a total of CNY 122, with a tea fee of CNY 2 per person. Come and experience this cool and delicious journey! ✨
