Guangzhou travel experience: exploring the charm of a city where history and modernity interweave

As a metropolis full of historical heritage and modern vitality, every trip to Guangzhou brings me different surprises and experiences. This city not only has a long history and culture, but also combines innovation, prosperity and internationalization, making people linger. 1️⃣ Attraction introduction: Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street On both sides of the Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, there are rows of Nanyang-style arcade buildings, making people feel as if they are standing in the long river of history. The pedestrian street is crowded with various food stalls. What I remember most is the steaming hot boat porridge and crispy pork trotter with ginger. These authentic snacks are not only delicious, but also represent the lifestyle of Guangzhou people. 2️⃣ Flower City Square and Guangzhou Tower The modern Huacheng Square has a wide space, which forms a sharp contrast with the high-rise buildings around it, while the Guangzhou Tower not far away is the focus of the entire journey. As the sun sets, the Guangzhou Tower is lit up with colorful lights, and you can take beautiful photos from different angles of the square. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can overlook the night view on both sides of the Pearl River. The glittering city looks particularly charming in the night. 3️⃣Yuexiu Park and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall In Yuexiu Park, I felt the fusion of Guangzhou's nature and history. The park is filled with towering ancient trees and a majestic stone sculpture of the Five Rams, telling the legend of the city's origin. Next, I visited the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. This solemn memorial building not only commemorates the founding father of the country, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, but is also a symbol of Guangzhou’s history, giving me a deeper understanding of the city’s history. This trip to Guangzhou allowed me to leisurely appreciate the culture and history of the old city and feel the Guangzhou people’s love of life.
