Grounded and vibrant Pantang Wuyue

"The door faces the water source towards the north pole, the road welcomes the golden energy flourishing in the west." This is an ancient couplet from the Banxi Wuyue Pavilion in Pantang Wuyue, written by Huang Qibiao, a scholar from the Qing Dynasty. The Five Show Gardens display five types of aquatic plants: lotus root, water chestnut, water caltrop, wild rice stem, and arrowhead. Pantang's Five Delicacies are beloved by the people of Guangzhou for their superior quality and sweet, refreshing taste, and they have been used in Cantonese cuisine for a long time. "Fan wu qi," in Cantonese, means going home. Where is home? It's in Pantang, it's in Guangzhou.
